In my day job as head of an innovation software company, people often ask me, “How do we create a culture of innovation at a company?”  After nearly a decade of helping large companies automate their innovation processes, I found that companies need help on the people side --as much, if not more-- than the tools side. 

 

To be clear, I don’t believe there is a magic formula to creating a culture of innovation, it, like any transformation, is full of hard work and perspiration. But it’s worth it. The rapidly accelerating rate of change in today’s environment makes it critical for organizations to function with a dynamic mindset. I figure the best way I can help is to make sure managers and employees are informed about the core concepts of Innovation Management, in the hopes that this will lead to better decisions and actions.
